Yoga
I believe strongly in the joy of movement! Years of dancing, cycling, and yoga have made me happy and fit and it is my mission to share this with everyone! I practice and teach vinyasa yoga, which is quite challenging and athletic, and each vinyasa class is like a snowflake, where I use different combinations of asanas to challenge the yoginis to add on their strength and flow gracefully from one pose to the next. Please email me if you're interested in Yoga classes.
Personal Training
As a personal trainer, I work closely with my clients to determine their fitness levels and fitness goals, then we create personal workout routines to meet those goals. Common feedback is that the sessions are so fun that the clients do not realize how hard they were working until they notice the changes in their bodies. Dance
Here are some videos that demonstrate some of the work I did with my old dance troupe, the Berlinquents. We started out in 2007 as a fitness dance workout class, and the more fun we had the more we wanted to show our stuff, so we took it to the streets. We preformed at Hau1, The Studio Buhne, IKEA, McDonalds, Oslo Queer Festival and Berlin Pride 2009 and 2010. My dance fitness classes are cardio based, with a fair amount of strength training thrown in. The choreography takes from hip hop, jazz, tai chi, and kick boxing.
Berlinquency and the Berlinquents were about fun, laughing, fitness, queering up society and beautifying our streets, about distracting people from consumerism to consider art and gender issues, and we are all about glitter and sequins. This sense of playfulness and joy is what unites all the fitness techniques that I teach.
